In the Kherson region, since the liberation, the Russian Federation has killed 32 civilians.
As reported by Ukrinform, the head of the National Police of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, informed Facebook
“Daily Russian shelling destroys the city and kills local civilians. Just from time deoccupation Russia killed 32 civilians in the Kherson region,” Klymenko noted.
According to him, many people are evacuating to seek refuge in calmer regions, but many Khersons remain in their homes, and the police need to provide them with the maximum possible safety.
“That is why, together with the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevgeny Yenin and the head of the State Migration Service Natalia Naumenko, they visited Kherson to monitor the implementation of stabilization measures. The next operational meeting was held in the shelter to the sound of explosions. It is important that there is a result: the National Police of Ukraine confidently and organizedly restores his work in the de-occupied part of the Kherson region,” Klymenko emphasized.
Seven police units resumed their work in the liberated territories, four of them in Kherson itself. 44 car and foot patrols patrol the streets of the regional center. In total, 850 police officers are on duty in Kherson.
Combined detachments from Kirovohrad, Odesa, Cherkasy and Dnipropetrovsk regions were also involved. There are also specialized investigative and operational groups that document war crimes committed by Russian servicemen and their accomplices. Currently, 578 such cases have been recorded in Kherson region.
“But we got the opportunity to ensure police presence thanks to the brave work of our explosives teams. Because Kherson Oblast was the most mined among all the de-occupied territories,” Klymenko emphasized.
Police sappers have already examined almost 450 hectares of liberated territories of the region and seized more than 3.5 thousand explosive objects.
“Thanks to the work of deminers, it was possible to save hundreds and even thousands of lives. So we personally thanked the bomb disposal workers for their service and presented them with awards and titles. No one knows what the new day will bring. But everyone is sure that you need to stand firmly on your land , to protect Ukraine and its people. And we will stand. And we will win,” concluded Klymenko.
As reported by Ukrinform, the enemy covers Kherson with fire around the clock and the suburbs, Bilozersk hromada, Beryslav and populated areas of the district.
