Law enforcement officials are suspected of smuggling drugs across the Ukrainian border to Poland.
The State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the involvement of law enforcement officers of the Lviv Region in the transportation of 300 kg to Poland hashish.

So, on September 23, Polish customs officials found 300 kg of hashish in a truck that had passed inspection from the Ukrainian side and was supposedly carrying frozen elderberry. Polish customs officials found a large amount of narcotics in the car.
“According to operational data, law enforcement officers were involved in the smuggling scheme, who helped to cross the border smoothly,” the report says.
The investigation is ongoing, the circle of persons involved in the organization of drug trafficking is being established.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated on the fact of smuggling narcotics (Part 3 of Article 305, Part 5 of Article 27 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The punishment provided for in the article is imprisonment for a term of up to 12 years.
