On December 4, the head of the UOC MP, Metropolitan Onufriy, consecrated the scandalous secretary of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese, Nikita (Storozhuk), as a bishop.

Metropolitan Onufriy performed the episcopal ordination of Archimandrite Nikita (Storozhuk) to the bishop of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomiysk, who manages the Ivano-Frankivsk eparchy. The ordination took place in the UOC MP monastery in Feofania.
He was assisted by Metropolitan Meletii of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna, who returned from Moldova, and Metropolitan Pavlo, the Vicar of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, against whom the NSDC imposed sanctions.
“Before the beginning of the Divine Liturgy, after which the episcopal ordination took place, a special rite was performed. The candidate for the episcopal degree of priesthood made a confession of faith and vowed to preserve the Tradition of the Church. According to tradition, Bishop Nikita gave his first archpastoral blessing to the faithful,” the message reads.
