On Wednesday, May 4, Dynamo Kyiv held another charity match of its Eurotour in support of Ukraine during the war with the Russian occupiers.
The rival of Mircea Lucescu’s team was the Swiss “Basel”. The match at St. Jacob’s Park Stadium ended with the victory of the “white and blue” – 2: 3.
Alexander Karavaev opened the scoring in the 23rd minute. A few minutes before the first half, Adam Salai equalized.
In the second half, the Swiss were the first to score – Wouter Burger scored. Ten minutes later, Oleksandr Andrievskyi again drew, and Denis Popov gave Dynamo the victory in this match.
In previous charity matches, Dynamo defeated Poland “Legion” (3: 1), Turkish Galatasaray (3: 1), played a draw with Romanian “Cluj” (0: 0), beat Borussia Dortmund (3: 2) and painted a draw with Zagreb’s Dynamo (2: 2).
It should be noted that after the match with Basel, some players of the Kyiv club will go to the camp of the national team of Ukraine, which is already began training to the playoffs for the 2022 World Cup.
