An 83-year-old woman from Gorenka, who baked Easter cakes in the middle of the ruins of her house, had her stove rebuilt.
Now Vira Pylypivna has a new one oven, a whole fence and a covered roof. The woman says that after the victory she will bake cakes and treat everyone.
This is stated on June 22 in the story TSN.19: 30.
The woman says she is very happy with the new stove. She says it’s even better than the old one, because now she can bake even more cakes to treat people.
Russian hail damaged the house, destroyed the barn, summer kitchen, garage. But in the midst of this devastation, the stove survived. When Vera Pylypivna returned from the evacuation, she did not want to hear about the Easter cakes from the store. So she patched the stove with her own hands and began to bake Easter cakes in it. Then she gave it to people, because no one had anything here.
Vera Pylypivna’s daughter Tetyana says that after the TSN story, her mother became recognizable all over the world.
“People who have seen these stories come and say: God, what a joy it was for everyone. They saw that they are alive, that there is life, there is a purpose. Life goes on,” says Tatiana.
The story of the indomitable 83-year-old Vera Pylypyvna from Gorenka and the stoves moved me. So they immediately began to think about what they could do for her.
“When we discussed the idea, many responded. Not only did the masters who are ready to come and do some work on a voluntary basis respond, but also our supplier partners responded and gave us materials,” said Dmytro Nosov, a member of the All-Ukrainian Bakers’ Guild.
A woman and her son-in-law dismantled the old stove on their own. Ms. Vera did not dream of such a stove two months ago. And now she does not have time to thank everyone who helps her in such a difficult time. The woman says that although enemy military equipment destroyed her house, she is now being helped to rebuild it. They plan to cope by winter. Vera Pylypyvna says that after the victory she will treat everyone with pies.
We will remind, the artist from Lutsk Alla Kharchuk decided to financially support the grandmother from the village Gorenka in Kyiv region Vira Pylypivna, who became famous all over the country for her story about the stove.
