Posted on June 23, 2022

The head of the GUR assured that there is no threat from the Belarusian side at the moment.

Currently, Ukrainian intelligence does not see a threat of Belarusian troops invading our state.

About this stated Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense Kirill Budanov on the air of the national telethon.

“At this stage, there is no threat from the Belarusian side – I can tell you with absolute confidence. Calm down, the situation is under control. In Belarus, military training continues, and teaching, and strengthening the border. A whole set of military actions is taking place now. But they are not aimed at fighting Ukraine at this stage, “said the intelligence chief.

Budanov assured that if Lukashenko still decides to intervene in the war and attack Ukraine, the Ukrainian military will immediately know about it and will take “adequate action.”

Earlier, military expert Oleg Zhdanov said that the threat of an offensive from Belarus still exists.
